NOTICE OF FILING DEADLINE

Notice is hereby given: That declarations of candidacy for the Office of Commissioner of the West Pend Oreille Fire District for both Sub District 1 and Sub District 3 must be filed with the district clerk/secretary, whose address is: PO Box 1267, Priest River, ID 83856, no later than 5 P.M. on the 29th day of August 2025. The filing window is from August 18 to 29, 2025.

Sub District 1 includes the area within the District lying South of the Pend Oreille River from one mile east of the Spirit Lake Cutoff Rd to the Idaho/Washington State Line. Within the City of Priest River, Sub District 1 includes the area lying south of US Highway 2 and that portion of the City on the South side of the Pend Oreille River.

Sub District 3 includes North of the Pend Oreille River and runs from the Priest River on the east to the Idaho/Washington state line on the west, not including the area within the City of Priest River.

Such declarations are available at the district fire station location next to the Priest River Airport, 61 Airfield Way, Priest River, ID 83856. Or Call Judy Kokanos at 208-290-5716 to meet at said firehall to pick up or to have a copy emailed to you.

Individuals who run as write-in candidate must file a declaration of intent no later than September 5, 2025, at 5:00 P.M.
